Costa Rica Photos Complete!

Hello!

I finally bore down today and completed my Costa Rica photos.  All of my favourites can now be viewed here: http://www.kylehorner.com/costarica.php.  Below are a few samples.

The next stage will be to attempt to correctly identify all of the critters - especially the herps - from the photos.

Hog-nosed Anole

Frog

Spider

Finally Some Photos!

Hello!

I have finally gained a bit of momentum on the photo front - the first installment of Costa Rica photos are uploaded to the website.  Have a look at them here: http://www.kylehorner.com/costarica.php.  I'm hoping this momentum will keep me rolling as there are many more to upload.  Some will look familiar as they have been posted on the blog in a preliminary form, but others (especially the Tortuguero and Corcovado ones) should be new.  Also I have prioritized posting the photos over identification, so many of the species are not fully ID'd - all in due time.

Cheers!

Working on it...

Hello!

Well the long and tedious job of photo processing is well underway.  It will still be a few days before I can get the majority of them up, but in the meantime, here's one of the coolest finds of the trip (way to go Bryna!).

Eyelash Viper (Bothriechis schlegelii)

More to come...

Back in the Home Country!

Hello!

I have made it safe and sound back to Canada!  I will hopefully be spending the next little while sorting, processing and editing photos, so check back for updates!

Cheers!

Uno mas!

Hola!

Couldn't help but post one more from Tortuguero.  We were exploring around at one of the local lodges, and we told the gardener we were looking for snakes.  He excitedly took us to show us the one he had found this morning, and imagine our amazement when he turned up this little fellow:

Eyelash Viper (Bothriechis schlegelii)

Next update (probably) will be from the home country!

More from Tortuguero

Hola!

Still alive in Tortuguero.  Many highlights to report later, but for now one more sampler photo:

Strawberry Poison Dart Frog (Dendrobates pumilio)

Also I have updated my bird list here: http://www.kylehorner.com/page8.php.

Cheers!

Still Alive!

Hola!

I am still alive, having survived the journey into Corcovado and currently residing in Tortuguero Village.  I am on the move these days, and haven't taken much time to edit photos.  Here's one though, from near the Sirena Ranger Station in Corcovado National Park.

Squirrel Monkey

I am coming home on the 28th of March, and will hopefully be able to get down to editing and posting then.  Until then!
